Pumpkin Carving (and some cookies!)

We had our Halloween weekend with Annaleen last week. We went to my parent's house and carved pumpkins and made sugar cookies. It was definitely a lot of fun. Annaleen LOVES going to "Jeanne's house" as she calls it. She loves my mom so much, and why wouldn't she? My mom always has little presents for her and does things like makes cookies for Annaleen even though my mom can't even eat them! She's the best grandma to her grand kids.

These were the end result of our cookie making. Annaleen had so much fun making "hockey pucks" for her dads, and flowers for her moms. It was really fun to bond with her too.

This is after we had gutted our pumpkins. I hate the feeling of gutting a pumpkin. Annaleen is the same way too. Randy just laughed at us.

Of course I made a kitty pumpkin. What else would I make, really?
Annaleen made a creepy spider. Notice Randy's concentration in the back.

My iphone is broken so I have the WORST camera, but Randy spent a ton of time on his pumpkin. We were all sitting around playing and he was probably carving for another half hour or so.

This was Annaleen's favorite part: lighting the candles.

My mom told Annaleen to trick or treat so she could give her candy. Annaleen came upstairs wearing my sister Megan's halloween costume from when she was five. Annaleen is seven, so you can see how small she is for her age. Funny story: I told her to go next door and trick or treat as a joke, but she took it seriously and came running back scared! I guess the teenage boys opened the door and were really confused.

We had a blast, and now I can't wait for real halloween this weekend! :)

Calgary Corn Maze

Today Randy and I went to the Calgary Corn Maze. It was seriously so much fun. We've wanted to start some traditions, and so we headed to the Corn Maze. Since it was Canadian Thanksgiving we both had the day off.

The Corn Maze was pretty large, and we decided we would go through the whole thing!

The Corn Maze had a game called the Maize-O-Poly and that's what kept us going. We had to finish a Monopoly board by finding all the stations and hole punching our board. We didn't really mean to do the whole thing, but after we had all but five we had to keep going. We almost gave up with one left, but we REALLY wanted our "Farmer of the Year" sticker!
This is us with our FINISHED BOARD! We acted like agents, and made it through the whole thing following the whole map. We felt GOOD!

And our proof: our STICKER! It took us an hour, and dang we felt good! The whole park had so much to do, there were trampolines, a corn husk shooter, and a ton of kid games.

We were going to pick out pumpkins, but honestly it's a rip off. So instead we went and picked up some pumpkins to get a picture. Yeah, we're cool. Over all, it was such a fabulous time, and we can't wait to do it again!

This whole weekend was really fun. Randy and I stayed home all weekend (except I worked) and we made all our food, and watched seven. Yes, seven movies. I'm doing a post about it, because I wanted to give my reviews.

So, that was my fabulous weekend, What are your traditions?

Weight Loss.

I'm jumping back on the weight loss bandwagon. I tried before and I did lose quite a bit of weight. Then something horrible happened and I got neck surgery. I seriously couldn't sweat for months. That meant no working out, no nothing. It was the worst. I've been trying to eat well but gradually some of the weight came back. I want to be happier with myself so here I am proclaiming it to everyone so that everyone can hold me accountable that I WILL SUCCEED!!!

I'm currently at 179.5 lbs after eating with my clothes on.
When I lost weight I was at 162.5 before my surgery.

THE PLAN:
My plan is to eat breakfast.
30 minutes of Zumba every morning to start
NO SNACKING! (I'm THE WORST!)
One cheat day a week, but I won't overdo it.

I'm not putting too much pressure on myself, but I want to feel better!

I will be posting my stats every week. Hopefully I can do this!

Attention readers?

I've changed my address to www.thecanuckbucks.blogspot.com

It had a nicer ring to it. Kindly subscribe to my new address? THANKS!

My Cats.

This is Theo.

He is the cutest cat in the world. (Don't tell Audrey I said that) I affectionately call him fat cat non stop. I don't think he minds because I cuddle him and rub his tummy. He is not like a normal cat. He loves cuddles, and wants everyone to pet him. Currently he is 16.5 lbs. He used to be 20 lbs but we put him on his new "diet". It consists of healthier cat food and his whining non stop. We inherited him from Randy's old (rude) roommate, and we couldn't love him more. I think he keeps my baby wanting at bay because he's a lot of work. His favorite things are chasing birds, laying out in the sun, and sleeping on top of the couch (and the night stand, and the coffee table, and my head). He is so lazy, but I LOVE HIM. It's why people call me a crazy cat lady!

This is Audrey.

She is three (at least we think?) and she doesn't like people. She's what you would call a "typical" cat. She hates being held, and would rather not sleep anywhere near us. I usually find her sleeping in the weirdest spots. Her regular sleeping places are Randy's chair, on her scratch post, and in Annaleens room when we leave the door open. She loves to be outside, and even has a boyfriend. His name is Felix, he lives down the street and he's kinda feisty. She is way more vocal lately, so now I know she's not mute. Seriously, for the past year we thought she couldn't talk. Randy got her for me after we got married, and she may not be cuddly, but I LOVE her.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know my babies. Don't worry, I sure post lots of pictures of him on instagram. (mjbuck) follow me!

I can't make up my mind.

I quit my job again. I can't seem to be content with any job I've had lately. I'm going back to retail (which is the only job I enjoyed longer than a month) and I'm actually excited.

We have Annaleen this weekend, and man it's been a blast. Randy had to work overtime yesterday so we went to visit.

Ridin' in a big truck

Aren't they the cutest?

Last weekend Randy and I went to the south part of Glenmore Park and it was gorgeous. I love seeing the changing leaves. It's a bummer it's fall because the only summer we really had was August and September. Boo! Oh well, it's the Canadian life!

Good news is it's hockey and Halloween season! My house is decked out for Halloween! I'll do a post about my decorations soon!
